I received a call from Pastor Rick yesterday morning asking me to meet with him to review the finances of Place for Life. It’s not always necessarily good or bad when the boss calls for a one-on-one meeting, but there is, however, always a sense of urgency. A feeling I’ll never lose. There are certain moments in life that should fill you pride or accomplishment, but are so cherished that you can’t feel anything except humility for the opportunity that God gave you. “The Position of Leadership”… I was listening and reading stories of inexperienced runners during San Antonio’s “Rock n Roll Marathon” this past weekend. I of course gravitate to the inexperienced as this is who I most identify with when it comes to running an actual marathon. Each one chronicled the same sentiment as the other- no matter how much training they did, there came a point where they “hit the wall” and didn’t think they could go on.
