There is a word nestled sweetly in the Prophecy of Amos 3:3, "Can two walk together except they be agreed?" The word agree is one of the most underestimated and overlooked words in all of Scripture. To Jesus, it was imperial, to the Prophet, it was intended, and to the church today, it is imparative. With it, we can build and grow; without it we struggle and are frustrated. Nehemiah knew the power of agreement when he went to rebuild the wall at Jerusalem. He did not embark on the God-ordained adventure with the words, "I will"; rather, he chose to intrinsically motivate God's people with the words, "Let Us". Churches today would be enjoying much more success and less frustration by concentrating their efforts toward agreement. Segregation in an enemy of the cause of Christ. "Let Us" lay down our personal agendas and come to the place where wed can agree and see God's Kingdome advaned.
